Capturing Unforgettable Moments at Manor Hill House
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Manor Hill House for the second time - a wedding venue that's swiftly climbing up my favourites list. It's hard not to be charmed by their absolutely beautiful landscaped gardens, creating an idyllic setting for wonderful photos. They offer a choice of lovely spots for your wedding ceremony, each providing a stunning view of the Worcestershire countryside. And of course, there's Ed the horse who never fails to add a unique touch to the visit!
Let me walk you through Claire & Ashley's day at Manor Hill House.
Bridal Preps
When it comes to my full-day wedding packages, I love to get started a good 2 hours before the ceremony. This isn't just about preparation - it's about absorbing the unique atmosphere of the day. Even if I've visited the venue before, there's always a new energy to every wedding that's worth capturing. I take this time to snap some early shots as the venue gets its final touches, wedding suppliers hustle and bustle about, and of course, our radiant bride savours every moment of getting ready on her special day.
Our lovely bride Claire is being pampered by her talented hair and makeup team, surrounded by her bridesmaids. They're all decked out in matching black silk pyjamas and fluffy slippers - such a fun and stylish ensemble! This not only adds a dash of charm to the morning but also makes for some fantastic bridal prep photos.
And let's not forget about the groom and his groomsmen! They're looking every bit as dashing, all suited up in black tie attire - my personal favourite. Plus, they've got their sunglasses on standby for a few playful staged photos.
My approach to wedding photography is all about capturing those authentic, spontaneous moments that truly reflect the joy of your special day. But I also love to sprinkle in some carefully guided stylised shots for that extra touch of magic which ensures a beautiful balance in your wedding album.
As we're about half an hour away from the ceremony, friends and guests are starting to trickle in. This is the perfect time for me to snap the joyful reunions, warm hugs, and quick catch-ups.
While Ashley and the gang are getting their boutonnieres all sorted, I'll be heading back to the bridal suite to capture that heart-tugging moment when the father of the bride sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. It's always such an emotional moment, so don't be surprised if there's a need for a quick makeup touch-up afterwards!
There's a delightful exchange of gifts that brings out even more happy tears. Plus, it's always charming to see time-honoured wedding traditions being kept alive, like the bride's garter. Such sweet moments truly make the day extra special!
Manor Hill House Ceremony
Choosing to tie the knot at Manor Hill House offers you a variety of beautiful settings for your ceremony. This time around, the couple exchanged their vows on the expansive lawn, right in front of the enchanting wedding gazebo.
Joining Ashley at the gazebo, I had the privilege of capturing the spectacular procession of the beautiful bridesmaids as they glided down the aisle. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly our radiant bride! Ashley managed to hold his emotions together admirably, making for a truly heartfelt moment that beautifully encapsulated their love.
Our wedding florist worked magic on the gazebo, adorning it with an enchanting array of foliage. The signing of the register was made even more special by the presence of the stunning bridal bouquet.

Drinks Reception at Manor Hill House
Usually, we have 90-120 minutes before the wedding breakfast. After spending the first 10 minutes soaking up the joyous congratulations and warm hugs, we'll get ready for the exciting confetti shot, followed by a series of heartfelt photos with your family and close friends.
As the drinks reception swings into action, I'll continue to capture your wedding in the most natural way possible, documenting each moment as the celebration beautifully unfolds.
Next, we move on to the couple shots - this is a moment that's truly yours. The time spent here is entirely up to you. Every couple is unique, so I never rush this part, but I must admit, it's always a joy when the couple is excited for their close-ups! Just like Claire and Ashley here, who looked absolutely stunning. With just a bit of guidance from me, they eased into each pose effortlessly as we strolled around the beautiful Manor Hill House.
The Wedding Breakfast
The Manor House marquee is truly a sight to behold, decked out with elegant chandeliers, draped walls, and a plush, fully carpeted floor. The clear windows let in an abundance of natural light, creating the perfect ambience for me to capture your special moments without the need for flash.
As the bride and groom, were greeted by the cheerful faces of their guests who were now eagerly looking forward to a delicious meal. At this point, I stepped aside for a couple of hours, leaving the wedding party to enjoy the food and each other's company. I use this interlude to review the beautiful photos taken so far, recharge my batteries (literally!), and grab a little sustenance myself.
I returned just in time for the speeches - a heartwarming showcase of smiles, tears, and a whirlwind of emotions was on display.
The Evening Reception
Here's where we shift gears a bit - after an exciting wedding day, it's time for a breather before the evening celebrations kick into full swing. Guests often find cosy nooks around the wedding venue to relax and bask in the early evening sun. It's a wonderful chance to soak up the warm glow and enjoy the serene moments before the party starts.
As the evening unfolded, additional guests started to arrive, just in time for the cake cutting and the first dance under the beautifully lit marquee. For their auditory pleasure, Claire & Ashley had live musicians and a DJ lined up. And as the night progressed, I captured some unforgettable dance floor moments!
